We’re so excited to bring back our popular small-batch sauerkraut workshops! Learn to make your own sauerkraut at Calamari’s on Monday, November 11th or 18th. After fermenting for 4-6 weeks your homemade sauerkraut will be ready just in time for New Year’s Day! Cost of the event is $30 per person; current (2019!) CSA members pay $25 (with only one discounted registration per CSA household.) The event includes the following:
Taste-test sauerkraut variations including traditional, garlic, jalapeno, fire, and sweet red cabbage/apple/carrot!
Select your own custom mix of sauerkraut ingredients for your own batch. Be as traditional or creative as you like!
Receive step-by-step guidance during the workshop on putting your custom batch of sauerkraut together.
Receive detailed instructions and everything you will need to finish your sauerkraut at home.
Enjoy Calamari’s happy hour pricing until 7pm; feel free to order food off the menu during class!
All ingredients and supplies for making your sauerkraut will be supplied at the workshop; however, please bring your own sharp kitchen knife for chopping your ingredients, substantial enough for cabbage! Cutting boards and everything else will be provided.
