Spring is here and it’s time to work on your garden! Join us on the patio at Calamari’s on Monday, May 13th for our Herb Garden Planting Workshop. This class is geared toward new to moderately-experienced gardeners. Whether this season will be your first foray into gardening, or you think you have a black thumb, or you’re just interested in meeting some new people, drinking some good beer, and playing in some dirt - this class is for you. Cost of the workshop is $30 per person and includes the following:
Learn all about annual vs. perennial herbs for Erie’s hardiness zone.
Learn and practice propagating different herbs by direct sowing, by dividing, and by rooting cuttings.
Learn about starting seeds indoors, potting your babies up into larger containers, hardening them off, and transplanting them outside.
Everyone will propagate their own herbs at this workshop and head home with their own plants to continue to care for.
Calamari’s happy hour specials will be running until 7pm, and feel free to order food off their menu during class!
All seeds and supplies for starting your herb garden will be provided at the workshop.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE PLANNING TO HOLD THIS WORKSHOP OUTSIDE ON THE CALAMARI’S PATIO. Please dress sufficiently warmly. In the event of rain, the workshop may need to be rescheduled for the soonest-available make-up date.
