Fermented Hot Sauce Workshop

We had so much fun at our first-ever hot sauce class we decided to do it one more time before pepper season is over! Learn to make your own fermented hot sauce at Jekyll & Hyde's on Monday, October 15th. Cost of the event is $30 per person; current (2018!) CSA members pay $25 (with only one discounted registration per CSA household.) The event includes the following:

  • Taste-teste fermented hot sauces made from the various hot peppers available for you to use in the workshop, in order to get familiar with their taste profiles and heat indices.

  • Select your own custom mix of hot peppers, sweet peppers, and other flavor enhancers for your own personal batch of hot sauce.

  • Receive step-by-step guidance during the workshop on putting your custom batch of hot sauce together.

  • Receive detailed instructions and everything you will need to finish your hot sauce at home after it is done fermenting.

  • Enjoy 1/2 off Jekyll & Hyde's drafts for the duration of the farm kitchen workshop! [Please note: the kitchen will NOT be open for this event.]

All ingredients and supplies for making your hot sauce will be supplied at the workshop; HOWEVER, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you bring your own sharp kitchen knife for chopping your ingredients. Knives will be available, but due to the amount of chopping required it is recommended that you bring a good knife from home. Cutting boards and everything else will be provided.
