Fermented Hot Sauce Workshop

Pepper season is upon us! Learn to make your own fermented hot sauce at Calamari’s during one of two sessions, Monday, October 14th or Monday, October 21st. Cost of the event is $30 per person; current (2019!) CSA members pay $25 (with only one discounted registration per CSA household.) The event includes the following:

  • Taste-teste fermented hot sauces made from the various hot peppers available for you to use in the workshop, in order to get familiar with their taste profiles and heat indices.

  • Select your own custom mix of hot peppers, sweet peppers, and other flavor enhancers for your own personal batch of hot sauce.

  • Receive step-by-step guidance during the workshop on putting your custom batch of hot sauce together.

  • Receive detailed instructions and everything you will need to finish your hot sauce at home after it is done fermenting.

  • Enjoy Calamari’s happy hour pricing until 7pm; feel free to order food off of the menu during the class!

All ingredients and supplies for making your hot sauce will be supplied at the workshop; however, you do need to bring your own sharp kitchen knife for chopping your ingredients. Cutting boards and everything else will be provided.
