Just ahead of cucumber season! Come make your own small-batch of real fermented dill pickles. Do you like ‘em spicy? Garlicky? Extra dilly? Customize your pickles’ flavor while learning all about general pickle fermentation. The workshop is $30 per person ($25 for 2019 CSA members!) and includes the following:
Taste-test several different fermented pickle varieties.
Select your own custom mix of ingredients for your own batch. Be as traditional or creative as you like!
Receive step-by-step guidance during the workshop on putting your custom batch of pickles together.
Receive detailed instructions and everything you will need to finish your pickles at home.
Enjoy Calamari’s happy hour pricing until 7pm: $3 house wines, $2 and $3 drafts, $1 slider sandwiches, and $2 off all New Belgium products! The kitchen WILL be open during this event!
All ingredients and supplies for making your pickles will be supplied at the workshop; HOWEVER, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you bring your own sharp kitchen knife for chopping your ingredients. Knives will be available, but due to the amount of chopping required it is recommended that you bring a good knife from home. Cutting boards and everything else will be provided.
Seats for our workshops are limited and pre-registration with payment is required to hold your spot. These will be our only two dill pickle workshops until next summer, so don’t wait to sign up!
